We are a Rotherham based club though we draw our membership from the South Yorkshire region. Our regular pool training sessions are once a fortnight on a Thursday evening at 7:30, at Maltby Leisure centre, utilising the diving pool, which has a depth of 3.4 metres. If you would like to experience life under water please contact us and we can arrange for you to have a try dive at the pool at a cost of just £10.00, which includes the use of all equipment, so, why not come along and enjoy.
On those Thursdays we do not meet at the pool we meet at the Rotherham Rugby Clubhouse on Badsley Moor Lane, Rotherham. When theory lecturers are being performed they will meet from 8:00 until 9:00 after which other members turn up for a drink and a chat. This is when tales about sightings of big underwater creatures (stories that fisherman would be proud off) are told and plans made for the next dive.
The club is run by a committee, which is elected by the members on an annual basis. This committee meets once a month and holds an open meeting to the membership on average every 3 months. They also produce a newsletter on average every two months. Our social secretary organises many social events such as bowling, night at the dogs, barge trips, Family day, Xmas dinner and our annual dinner dance in March for presentation of awards and trophies.
